If there is one place you need to see when you visit San Diego California, it is Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.  The San Diego Zoo is located right in Balboa park.  Both sites are must see attractions in San Diego California.

Balboa Park is right in the middle of San Diego.  I love these urban parks.  They are such a break from the frantic pace of cities.  Little oasises in urban jungles.  In fact, Balboa Park San Diego California is the largest cultural park in the United States.

Balboa Park San Diego Zoo

There are over 14 museums to see in Balboa Park, including the San Diego Aerospace Museum and the San Diego Museum of Art.  With the famous F-14 Top-Gun flight school near San Diego, CA, it is fitting that there would be a San Diego Aerospace Museum.  But, the biggest attraction in Balboa Park is the best zoo in America, the San Diego Zoo.

If you are visiting San Diego, you have to give yourself a day to visit Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.  This is a must see attraction in San Diego California.

And congrats to the San Diego Chargers who are headed to the NFL Playoffs!  If you are heading to San Diego for the Playoff game, take some extra time to see Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo.
